The New Academic: On Politics, Integrity, Happiness, & Success
Dr Nadine Muller is a Lecturer in English Literature and Cultural History at Liverpool John Moores University. Her research covers Victorian and neo-Victorian literature and culture, contemporary women’s fiction, and cultural histories of women, gender, and feminism from the nineteenth century through to the present day. Dr Muller is the co-editor of the six-volume Routledge Major Works anthology Women and Belief, 1852-1928, and co-editor of Postfeminism and Contemporary Hollywood Cinema (Palgrave, 2013) with Joel Gwynne. The New Academic (read more here)––a project which collates advice and experiences for PGRs and ECRs about the increasingly demanding and complex challenges of academia––has has been featured in the Times Higher Education twice. Her special issue of Nineteenth-Century Contexts, co-edited with Joanne Ella Parsons, The Male Body in Victorian Literature & Culture, was published in Autumn 2014.
