Genetically Modified food is green: how an environmentalist changed his mind on biotechnology
Mark Lynas is a visiting fellow at Cornell University and an environmentalist who has written numerous books about science and the environment, including The God Species and Nuclear 2.0. He used to be implacably opposed to GM and nuclear power. A few years ago, he changed his mind. In this talk, he will argue that GM is good for humanity and the planet. Is he a brave man willing to give up deep-set beliefs in the light of a proper consideration of the evidence? Or is he a green quisling in the pay of a cigar chomping Cyril Sneer-like figure, bent on destroying Mother Earth for profit? Come to the talk and decide for yourself.
